She has written textbooks and examination materials for students from beginner to advanced level. Co-author of Proficiency Gold, New Proficiency Gold and the Pet Gold Maximiser (Longman) and have also co-authored short course books in the Accelerate Series (Macmillan). Richard Acklam has been involved in EFL teaching/teacher-training since1982. He has mainly worked for International House in London, Paris and Cairo. He has an MA (TEFL) from the University of Reading. His publications include The Choice series [co-author with Sue Mohamed] (Longman), First Certificate Gold, Advanced Gold and Going for Gold (Intermediate and Upper Intermediate) [co-author with Araminta Crace] (Pearson Education). Jacky Newbrook has taught in Scandinavia and the UK. Since 1986 she has been a teacher and teacher trainer at Bell School, Saffron Walden, where she has taken a particular interest in Self Access. She has worked with the British Council on setting up Self Access centres, and given several conference presentations on the subject. She is the co-author of Proficiency Gold (Longman, 1999, 2001) and PET Gold Maximiser (Longman, 2002). She has also co-authored a short course book.
